An EMPTY church in Wardle is set to be converted into appartments while cottages are about to be built on a nearby site of a former school.
St. James' Church on Ramsden Road, Wardle, is to be converted to four large appartments while the site of the now - demolished church school will accommodate
terrace cottages ahd community parking. it is also planned to demolish a nearby hairdressers and a garage to make way for the development. The outward appearance of the church will remain intact while the spire will be maintained
