Photo taken approx 75 yrs ago. Janet (Mother) Herbert,Albert,Fred,Mary,Cissie,Nellie and John, youngest Jimnot in photo. Four of the children in this picture are alive today, my mother Mary (white clown) will be 85 in May. The photo was taken in front of the farm house called Hustid Nook Wardle which was between Wardle and Whitworth. The farm had to be vacated due to the blasting when watergrove was under construction. I heard that a family called Mitchell was the last owners of the land and had a home built from the old farm house materials. Eddie Hilton |
